02 · Why a partner
Why buy through a partner instead of a credit card?
The licences are identical. Everything around them is not.
Billed in Kenya shillings
Local invoicing on terms agreed with you, instead of a USD card charge that moves with the exchange rate. Our quoting rate is disclosed and holds for your full annual term.
Support that answers
A phone call to a person in Nairobi rather than a ticket into the void. We administer your tenant, add starters, remove leavers, and right-size licences so you stop paying for ghosts.
Genuine hardware, warranted here
Business-class Lenovo, Dell and HP from official distribution, with registered warranties serviceable in Kenya.
03 · Email
Which service runs your email?
Type your work email address to see which service it runs on today, and what moving it to Microsoft 365 would involve.
Only the part after the @ is used: the check reads its public mail records in your browser. Nothing is stored or sent to us.
Your email moves in five steps. The switch happens outside working hours.
From Gmail, cPanel webmail or an older Microsoft 365 setup, we handle every step, and mail keeps flowing through the working day.
Assessment
We audit your current mail, domain and licences.
Plan and prepare
Tenant, domain verification and user list agreed.
Migrate
Mail, contacts, calendars and files moved across.
Verify
We test delivery, devices and access before switching.

DNS cutover out of hours, then a stabilisation window.
Tenant and domain setup from KES 15,000, and KES 1,500 per mailbox migrated. Indicative, excluding VAT, and confirmed on the quote.

Is your business actually protected?
Six honest questions about how your team really works. A no to any of them is a gap.
Does every mailbox have multi-factor authentication turned on?
If notNo MFA is the number one breach vector: one phished password opens everything.
Does everyone have their own login for every system?
If notShared passwords mean no accountability, and no clean way to offboard anyone.
If a staff laptop was lost or stolen today, could you wipe it remotely?
If notA lost laptop without remote wipe is a data breach, not an inconvenience.
When someone leaves, is their account disabled the same day?
If notEx-staff with live accounts are the most common insider risk we find.
Are company files backed up somewhere other than the laptops they live on?
If notFiles that live only on laptops die with the laptops.
Would your team reliably catch a fake “changed bank details” invoice email?
If notInvoice-fraud email is the most expensive attack on Kenyan SMEs right now.
Business Premium closes most of these directly: enforced MFA, Intune remote wipe, Defender phishing protection and OneDrive backup.

We run what we sell.
GGIL is a working geomatics practice before it is an ICT reseller. Every system on these pages is one we depend on ourselves.
We migrated ourselves first
Our own domain moved from cPanel webmail to Exchange Online, with MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured properly and no mail lost. We had run the whole cutover before we offered it to anyone else.
Microsoft 365 is our daily desk
Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive carry our survey project data between the field and the office every working day. We support the platform we actually live in.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions.
What is Microsoft CSP and why buy licences through a partner?
CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) is Microsoft's official channel for buying Microsoft 365 through an authorised local partner instead of a credit card on microsoft.com. The licences are identical and fully official. What differs is that you get local invoicing in Kenya shillings, a human who manages your tenant and licences, and support that answers the phone. GGIL provisions through Microsoft's authorised distribution channel.
What is the difference between Business Basic, Standard and Premium?
Business Basic gives you professional email, Teams and web versions of Office, enough for teams that live in the browser. Business Standard adds the full desktop Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint installed on each PC). Business Premium adds the security layer: device management with Intune, Defender for Business, and controls that protect company data on staff laptops and phones. Most Kenyan SMEs land on Standard; anyone handling client data or company devices should look hard at Premium.
Can we pay monthly and in Kenya shillings?
Yes. That is one of the main points of buying through a local CSP partner. We invoice in KES on terms agreed with you, monthly or annually. Annual commitments price lower per user; monthly gives flexibility for teams whose headcount moves.
Can you migrate our email from Gmail or cPanel webmail to Microsoft 365?
Yes. We handle domain verification, mailbox migration (mail, contacts, calendars), and the DNS cutover so mail keeps flowing during the switch. A typical small-business migration completes within a few days, with the actual cutover scheduled outside working hours.
What is Microsoft Copilot and does a small business need it?
Copilot is Microsoft's AI assistant inside Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams: drafting documents, summarising threads, analysing spreadsheets. It is a per-user add-on on top of a Business plan. Teams that produce a lot of documents and email feel it immediately; a two-person shop may not. We usually suggest piloting it on two or three heavy users first.
We are a small team: do we really need the security features in Premium?
If staff use laptops outside the office, handle client or financial data, or ever lose a device, yes. Premium lets you require device encryption, wipe a lost laptop remotely, and stop company files from walking away in personal accounts. The cost of one incident normally exceeds years of the price difference.
What support do we get after setup?
Every setup ends with a proper handover: documentation, admin credentials in your hands, and a stabilisation window where we stay on call while your team settles in. After that we support you per request: user changes, troubleshooting, and advice, scoped and billed per engagement, dispatched from Nairobi or Kakamega or handled remotely. We'd rather promise responsiveness we can deliver every single time than sell a retainer we can't yet staff around the clock.
How long does a full setup take?
A greenfield Microsoft 365 setup (domain, tenant, users, devices) is typically done within a week. Migrations add a few days depending on mailbox sizes. Hardware lead times vary by model; common business models are often available ex-stock in Nairobi.
Do you serve businesses outside Nairobi?
Yes. Cloud work (licensing, migration, tenant management and support) is done remotely for clients anywhere in Kenya and across East Africa. For on-site work we dispatch from our Nairobi (Upperhill) or Kakamega offices, whichever is closer, and we regularly serve businesses in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret and county headquarters countrywide.
